Tacos with Habanero Roasted Sauce

Following is our recipe and ingredients for the preparation of the tacos and salsa:

Taco ingredients:

Avocado1 ½ large pieces
Lime juice1 or 1 ½ pcs.

Skirt Steak300 grams
Corn Tortillas8 to 10 pcs.

Ingredients for the roasted habanero sauce:

Strawberry tomatoes3 or 4 pcs.
Wild tomatoes1 piece in halves
Garlic2 cloves of garlic
White onions¼ piece
Habanero pepper3 or 4 pcs.
Cilantro2 sprigs
Lime1 ½ pieces (juice)
Salt1 tsp

Method for the roasted habanero sauce

  1. Roast the tomatoes, diced onion, Habanero chiles and garlic.
  2. With the help of the molcajete grind habaneros, garlic, onion and tomato.
  3. Season with the salt and lemon juice.
  4. Add chopped coriander at the end.
  5. Season to taste.
  6. Coarsely mash the avocado and season with olive oil, lemon and salt.

Method for tacos and salsa application:

  1. Roast the meat (preferably on charcoal).
  2. Salt just before turning over the grill.
  3. Remove from heat and let stand for a few minutes.
  4. Slice and put on the taco.
  5. Form the tacos by spreading a little avocado on each tortilla and on top of the sliced meat.
  6. Cover with enough habanero sauce.

Servings:

  • 8 to 10 pcs.
