IngredientsQty
Butter45 grams
Olive Oil2 to 3 tablespoons
Chambray onions3 or 4 pieces (with stem and stalk)
Habanero pepper3 or 4 pcs.
Cream cheese60 grams
Sour cream¾ cup
Homemade mayonnaise¾ cup
Lime juice1 tbsp.
White vinegar1 tbsp.
Salt½ teaspoon
Instructions
  1. Start by melting the butter in a skillet and add olive oil, to prevent the butter from burning so quickly.
  2. Slice the onion, including the green tops, and mix it with the melted butter over low heat.
  3. Chop the habanero peppers, removing seeds and stems. Add to butter with onion.
  4. Cook over low heat for an additional 2 to 3 minutes.
  5. Soften the cream cheese in a double boiler: boil water in a pot and place a bowl with the cream cheese on top. Use a spatula to press the cheese until it becomes creamy.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix the mayonnaise, sour cream, and softened cream cheese. Then, add the habanero butter mixture and salt to taste.
  7. Mix the lemon juice and white vinegar together, stirring thoroughly to ensure all the flavors are well combined.
  8. Taste and adjust the amount of salt if necessary.
